PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – Ican | Institute Of Chartered Accountants Of Namibia

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as an educational and training expert representative across stakeholders.
• Oversee Education, Examinations and Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
• Provide technical support to relevant committees (Education, Examination, Training & Development, Career Guidance).
• Providing technical leadership and support to the Education & Examinations Committee, Training & Development Committee, and Youth Committee.
• Managing professional examinations (IAC & APC), including administration, regulations, adjudication of results, and correspondence.
• Developing and maintaining the CPD programme and calendar, and engaging facilitators.
• Representing ICAN in education and training matters with stakeholders such as PAAB, IFAC, and PAFA.
• Driving thought leadership, drafting articles and communications related to education and professional development.
• Supporting the CEO in securing the future of the CA profession and ensuring compliance with regional and international membership obligations.
• Contributing to strategic initiatives, legislation consultations, and the annual integrated report.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Commerce / Chartered Accountancy / Finance.
• Chartered Accountant qualification (added advantage).
• Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Confident and persuasive presentation skills.
• Strong stakeholder relationship-building ability.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• High level of drive (individual and team environments).
• Understanding of membership-based organisations.
• Strong administrative skills.
• Passion for education, professional development or training.
