Key Responsibilities
- strengthen the U.S. Embassy’s understanding of Namibia’s government, political parties, civil society organizations, culture, and current events.
- undertake original research and developing and maintaining a range of contacts at senior levels.
- analyze trends and developments of interest to the U.S. Government in Namibia’s political spheres.
- produce high-quality written reports and provide detailed briefings to Embassy leadership.
- review grant applications (as a Grants Officer Representative).
- interface with intra-Embassy grants selection committees.
- administer grants in the State Assistance Management System (SAMS) Overseas online system.
- conduct monitoring and evaluation of existing grants.
- complete close-out activities for terminating grants.
