The Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR) is a commercial public enterprise, mandated under the Namibia Wildlife Resorts Company Act (Act 3 of 1998), to operate inside the protected areas (National Parks) of Namibia to provide tourism-related services and promote the safer environmental protection activities.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
We are seeking a creative and agile Manager: Training, Organisational Development and Wellness to elevate our employee experience, competency and career development, succession path and service culture. The job incumbent is expected to collaborate with other Departments to identify the staff training needs, review the roles, job evaluation and grading project, implement the performance management policy and drive organisational change. Benchmark and design effective staff wellness interventions aimed at promoting the employee’s mental health and psychological wellbeing. The role will report to the Chief Human Capital Officer.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the orientation and on-boarding program to ensure new employees settle-in well;
- Conduct a comprehensive training needs analysis (TNA) to identify skill gaps and design, develop, and deliver impactful training programs to enhance both individual career and performance improvements at all levels;
- Support professional growth and career development of all NWR employees.
- Design and implement the succession planning policy, strategies and performance management systems PMS) to enhance the overall organizational effectiveness.
- Partner with other Department to implement performance policy and appraisal systems.
- Facilitate organizational change and culture transformation interventions.
- Assist with identifying high-potential employees for succession and creating targeted development programs.
- Benchmark and design effective employee experience (EX) programs
- Design and implement holistic employee wellness programs and to address the physical, mental, and emotional health challenges;
- Plan and implement annual wellness initiatives to promote healthy lifestyles;
- Work with line management to ensure a safe, clean and supportive work environment.
- Foster a positive, inclusive and trusting workplace culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management / Business Administration majoring in Organisational Development or Industrial Psychology, at NQF level 7.
- Have at least five (5) years of work experience in Human Capital Planning, Training and Organisational Development and Wellness environment, of which 3 years should have been served at supervisory level;
- Exceptional facilitation, public speaking and presentation skills;
- Valid driver’s license (Code B);
DESIRED:
- Certified Hospitality Trainer or OD Certification or Registered as Social Counsellor or Psychologists will serve as strong advantage.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and familiar with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
