This position reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer and is based in Windhoek.

Key Responsibilities
- Compile, maintain and update employee records, including leave administration (hard and soft copies)
- Responsible for the recruitment process (Including NIEIS advertising, short listing, and interviewing)
- Payroll processing of 100+ employees (monthly/weekly and 3rd party payment requisitions)
- Pension fund administration (new entrants and withdrawals)
- Medical Aid administration (new members, amendments, and terminations)
- Co-ordinate employee wellness and engagement programs within the Group
- Training and development (Maintaining a training register, succession planning and VET/SDL claims)
- Coordination and ensuring procedures are adhered to with regard to disciplinary procedures, grievances and incapacity inquiries.
- Investigation of misconduct and issuing disciplinary notices when needed.
- Collecting evidence and compiling documents for disciplinary action and Con/Arb cases.
- Weekly preparation and compiling of IR report (Disciplinary actions, IOD’s etc) for the HRM to review.
- Knowledge and practical experience with recruitment and NIEIS system.
- Any other duties required by the Group Human Resources Manager.
Requirements
- A valid Grade 12 certificate (minimum 30 points);
- Diploma/Degree with minimum of 5 years’ experience in a HR environment; or 8 years applied experience in an HR environment.
- Knowledge of the Namibian and South African Labour Statutes and other HR Compliance laws.
- Knowledge of Sage 300 People will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of Jarrison will be an added advantage.
- Advance level of Computer skills (MS Office);
- Excellent organisational and administrative abilities and able to work according to strict deadlines.
- Good English communications skills – understand, read and write.
- A high level of accuracy and a high regard for attention to detail.
- The ability to effectively work with a diverse workforce.
- Professional and confident attitude with a high regard for confidentiality.
- Valid Namibian driver’s license with sober habits.
- The ability to take accountability and work independently.
- The ability to take own initiative.
