CLERK: DEBTOR – Namib Mills (Pty) Ltd

following position at Namib Mills (Pty) Ltd in Windhoek.
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The purpose of this position is to ensure the optimal functioning of the Debtors department.

KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure timeous collections of debtors.
• Accurate payment and cost allocations.
• Allocating payments on bank statement daily.
• Credit application processing and vetting.
• Opening of new accounts.
• Ensure good customer interaction with regards to queries, proof of deliveries, claims and general correspondence.
• Manage credit limits of customers on approved limits.
• Processing of debtors in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Compiling and submission of management/other reports as required.
• Credit notes for settlement discounts, rebates, price difference and promotional discounts.
• Ensure control and management of age analysis.
• Ensure timeous communication with depots regarding outstanding payments.
• Assist with any adhoc functions/projects as prescribed by supervisor/manager.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION
• Grade 12 (NQF4).
• Five (5) years’ experience in the FMCG industry.
• Proficient in written & spoken English
• Experience with Microsoft applications and relevant software.
• Accpac experience would be an added advantage.
• Valid Namibian driver’s license
• Namibian Citizen
