OPERATION AND MANAGEMENT OF A SECOND – TIER PAY-PER-USE LOUNGE – Namibia Airports Company Limited

A National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or Hospitality Management is commonly preferred. Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH IGC or Namibian-recognised short courses in health and safety, customer service, or asset management add value. Prior experience in lounge operations or airport-related facilities within Namibia or SADC countries is often expected.

Daily duties include supervising lounge staff, monitoring service quality and hygiene standards, managing bookings and billing systems, and coordinating with airlines or third-party vendors. You’ll also handle real-time passenger queries, ensure compliance with NAC’s operational policies and Namibian aviation regulations, and complete daily reporting on usage, incidents, and maintenance needs.

Namibian workplaces emphasise respect for hierarchy, punctuality, and strong interpersonal communication — especially when engaging with diverse passengers and stakeholders across ethnic and linguistic groups. Some professionals pursue leadership pathways via the Public Service Commission’s development programmes or through partnerships with institutions like the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST).
