Key Responsibilities
- Handle all accommodation and reservation enquiries professionally, accurately and efficiently.
- Process individual and group bookings accurately and within the required turnaround times.
- Communicate professionally with guests, travel agents, tour operators and other stakeholders.
- Prepare quotations and provide accurate information regarding accommodation, rates, availability and special offers.
- Manage booking amendments, cancellations and confirmations accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure all reservations are accurately captured and updated on the relevant reservation and property management systems.
- Monitor booking availability and assist in maximising occupancy and revenue opportunities.
- Maintain effective communication and coordination with lodges, sales teams and other relevant departments.
- Handle guest requests and special requirements professionally and promptly.
- Follow up on provisional bookings, outstanding payments and confirmations where required.
- Assist with resolving booking queries and complaints professionally and within the required turnaround time.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure that all reservation procedures and company policies are consistently followed.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and contribute to a positive and memorable guest experience.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Degree or Higher Diploma in Tourism/Hospitality
- Excellent communication skills; fluency in English and Afrikaans required (German will be an advantage)
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ reservations experience within the tourism industry
- Computer literate with strong administrative skills
- Knowledge of Innkeeper and related reservation systems will be an advantage
- Strong customer service skills
- People-oriented with a professional and positive approach
- Excellent telephone etiquette
