Key Responsibilities

Monitor and control the copper processing plant in line with approved operating procedures and production requirements.
Monitor plant parameters, production output, alarms and equipment condition and respond promptly to deviations.
Support and coordinate plant start-up, shutdown and isolation activities.
Communicate effectively with field operators and relevant personnel during normal operations and shift handovers.
Perform basic troubleshooting within own competence and escalate process or equipment faults where required.
Maintain accurate control room, production, operational and shift records.
Comply with all HSE requirements and promote safe, reliable plant operations.

Requirements

Grade 12; a relevant technical or process-control qualification will be an added advantage.
Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in a control room, plant operations or processing environment.
Ability to monitor plant operating parameters, identify deviations and communicate operational issues promptly.
Knowledge of process monitoring, control room operations, plant procedures, alarms, operating records and HSE requirements.
Practical exposure to flotation, milling, crushing, grinding, filtration and/or bagging areas will be considered during screening.
Valid driver’s licence where required.
