Key Responsibilities

Coordinate with regional stakeholders.
Coordinate rural development programmers in the region.
Ensure proper execution of rural development budget and projects implementation
Supervise staff
Compile subdivision reports
Convene regular technical committee meetings
Ensure monitoring and evaluation of rural development projects
Maintain a constant contact with the Ministry on rural development.
Identify training needs.
Maintain rural development data base
Carry out any other official duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

Minimum requirement: An appropriate National Diploma on NQF level 6 or equivalent qualification plus 6 years’ appropriate experience.
Supplementary requirement: Preference will be given to candidates with a Bachelors Degree or equivalent qualification at NQF Level 7 in one of the following fields: Economics or Regional and Rural Development or Natural Resources Management or Development Studies or Business Administration or related fields. Must have at least five (5) years appropriate working experience of which three (3) years should have been served at the level of Senior Community Liaison Officer Grade 8 or equivalent level. Candidates must be in possession of valid driver’s license.
