Key Responsibilities
- Payroll Administration: Maintain payroll information, process employee changes, and prepare payroll reports covering earnings, taxes, deductions and leave.
- HR Initiatives & Systems: Support HR initiatives and systems, provide guidance on policies and procedures, and assist with recruitment activities and job postings.
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Coordinate the hiring process and create and implement effective employee onboarding plans.
- Training & Development: Develop and coordinate training and development programmes and assist with performance management processes.
- Employee Relations: Support disciplinary and grievance matters, assist with workplace conflict resolution, and promote positive employee relations.
- HR Administration: Maintain accurate employee records, attendance information and other HR documentation in line with company policies.
- Compliance: Stay updated on Namibian labour legislation and support compliance with employment law, company policies, health and safety requirements.
- Benefits Administration: Coordinate employee benefits, including enrolment support and liaison with benefits providers.
- Offboarding: Manage employee exit processes, including exit interviews and termination documentation.
- HR Support: Maintain knowledge of HR market trends and provide general administrative support to the HR function.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Industrial Psychology or a related field
- Minimum 3 years’ proven experience in an HR role
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams)
- Professional HR certification
- Solid understanding of Namibian labour laws and HR best practices
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
