Key Responsibilities
- Candidate will serve as the head of the Directorate of Land Reform, responsible for the overall planning, coordination, implementation and monitoring of Namibia’s Land Reform programme;
- Ensure periodic review, drafting and implementation of relevant policy and legislative instruments as it relates to the Land Reform programme;
- Providing leadership and strategic vision and lead the financial and human resource complement of the directorate;
- Advising top management on the relevance of existing land legislation, policies and recommending review when necessary;
- Initiating and planning of policy review, formulation and implementation of processes;
- Ensure compliance with legislation and policy instruments guiding the implementation of the land reform programme in Namibia;
- Overall management, planning and execution of financial, human resource and other resources of the directorate.
- Providing technical and legal advice to commissions and boards serving the mandate of the Ministry;
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the top management of the Ministry.
Requirements
- A B-Degree in Land Management or Land Administration or Geo-information Management or Natural Resource Management or Agriculture on NQF Level 7 plus nine (9) appropriate years of experience, of which two (2) years of appropriate experience must be at a level of a Deputy Director Grade 4 in the government or equivalent level in the private sector.
- Candidates must have a driving licence.
- Preference will be given to candidates in possession of an appropriate Master’s Degree on NQF level 9 in addition to any of the above-mentioned qualifications.

N$ 582 333- 617 976 per annum (Scale of salary), N$ 582 333 per annum (Salary Notch), N$ 131 280 per annum (Housing Benefit), N$ 94 178 per annum (Motor Vehicle Allowance Capital Cost), N$ 29 455 per annum (Motor Vehicle Allowance Running cost)
