*Position: 1x Application Specialist (IT)
*Duty Station: Windhoek City Campus

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

– The position is responsible for providing application support and maintaining the excellent working conditions of the existing systems applications.
– Ensure optimal performance of applications by regular upgrading of existing applications, testing before application release, and adjusting application functions to meet user needs.
– Design, develop, and implement new applications software based on special business needs.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

– Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, software development, or related field.
– At least three (3) years of professional experience in programming for industry application development or business system support.
– Experience with multiple programming languages and platforms, as well as experience in developing applications for both Windows and Unix/Linux-based OS platforms.
– Ability to navigate operating systems.
– Proficient in written and spoken English.
– At least five years of work experience.
– A Code B Driver’s License.
