MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The incumbent will be responsible to provide accurate technical drawings on company products to both internal and external Stakeholders. The role includes providing accurate roll-forming and tool drawings for the manufacturing of company tools and products and assisting with project specific technical drawing requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

· Multi-Disciplinary Drawing Office Practice (N4/N5)
· Good understanding of mathematics, Geometry and Trigonometry
· Ability to visualize in 3D
· Experience in sheet metal development and structural steel detailing will be an advantage
· Minimum 5 years experience in draughting relating to Structural Steel Industry
· Familiar with AutoCAD, Revit, and or Caddie Drawing Packages
· Microsoft Office – Excel Advanced essential
· Analytical and data-driven problem solver
· Result and Deadline Driven
· Strong planning and organizational skills
· A self-motivated/ability to work in a pressurized environment

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· To visualize in 3D and calculate geometry requirements and draw accurate roll-forming and tooling drawings for the factory
· To visualize in 3D and calculate geometry requirements and draw accurate project specific technical drawings to assist the project team in securing projects
· To draw accurate and complete technical drawings, with cutting lists and details, enabling customers to successfully complete their projects
· Preparation of technical drawings and production sketches as per customer’s construction drawings and specifications
· Preparation of complete material / cutting lists with details
· Planning and controlling phases of projects according to customers program
· Submitting of drawings and sketches for approval
· Obtain information from customers and/or proposal of general and specific design details
· Use CAD system to optimize performance
· Estimates and Quotations
· To ensure accurate estimating of drawings to facilitate Sales in the securing of orders on specific projects
· Extracting quantities from drawings: compiling an quick estimate
· Adhere to closing dates and specifications timeously
· Use CAD system and MS Office, Excel to optimize performance

GENERAL
· To ensure participation in the completion of all other duties
· Provide a general and technical service to customers
· Comprehensive sales, marketing and technical backup service in absence of personnel
· Remain positive and motivated and contribute towards a dynamic team, assisting other members of the team when needed
· Perform any other duties as assigned by Management
