The Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR) is a commercial public enterprise, mandated under the Namibia Wildlife Resorts Company Act (Act 3 of 1998), to operate inside the protected areas (National Parks) of Namibia to provide tourism-related services and promote the safer environmental protection activities.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
We are seeking for a matured and dedicated Truck Driver (Grade B4) with Code CE license to operate the double axel truck fitted with water /or sewer tanks to ensure the safety of the vehicle while adhering to the Namibia’s road and traffic Act and regulations. He/she will be required to travel to other NWR Resorts as and when the need arises. To ensure that all deliveries and collections are done professionally and on time. The position will be reporting to the Resort Manager(s).

Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a double axel truck over long distance and in varied weather conditions;
- Ability to practice defensive driving skills to avoid road accidents.
- Supervise the safe loading and delivery of drinking water to the Camp man-holes and ensure safe disposal into municipal reticulation systems.
- Conduct mandatory pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tires, brakes, fluids, and lights.
- Report all mechanical defects/issues and perform basic preventative maintenance.
- Plan the cost-effective and efficient routes to minimize fuel consumption.
- Maintain accurate records, trip logs, fuel usage, and odometer readings.
- Strictly adheres to driving hour regulations (rest periods), weight limits, and hazardous materials protocols when applicable.
- Serve as a brand ambassador of NWR when interacting with clients, verifying deliveries, and obtaining necessary signatures.
- Effectively manage time in performing his/her duties, attending to emergency situations and meet the required service deadlines.
Requirements
- Have a valid Code CE driver’s license.
- At least have 3 years of experience in operating double axel trucks;
- Have basic auto mechanics skills and general knowledge of truck parts;
- Willingness to travel frequently to various NWR properties;
- Ability to cope with moderate stress while traveling long distances;
- Adapt to both gravel and tired road conditions.
- Candidates with academic qualifications in Diesel Auto Mechanics or/ demonstrate strong technical know-how experience in truck repairs and servicing operations would serve as the advantage.
