We are looking to train, develop and empower Namibian females to become Bulk Vehicle Operators / Heavy Duty Vehicle Operators / Dangerous Goods Drivers / Yellow Equipment Operators
TRAINEE BULK VEHICLE OPERATORS & YELLOW EQUIPMENT OPERATORS
Trainees will be trained and developed over a 3 year period. During this period trainees will receive theoretical and practical training In areas of driving, administration, policies, procedures, health and safety.
WHAT IS REQUIRED TO JOIN THE PROGRAMME
- Namibian citizenship
- Female, aged 25 to 40
- Grade 10 certificate
- Valid Code B / Cl / CE License
- Police Clearance
- Physical & medical fitness
- Must have own accommodation in Walvis Bay for the duration of the training
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
- 2 Weeks of theoretical / class room training
- 2 14 months of Co-Driving / In-Cab training
- Training on company and customer policies and procedures
- First Aid training
- Fire Fighting training
- Coaching to obtain a code CE License
- Coaching to obtaining a PDP
- Training to complete trip documentation paperwork
- Observing loading and off-loading of tankers and tippers
- Training to carry out safety checks before, during and after trips
- Travel to sites and observe loading and delivery procedures
- Training on how to use and operate equipment
- Training on recording of driving hours and activities using a tachograph system
WHAT YOU WILL GAIN
- A code CE License that will give you the freedom to be a truck driver anywhere In Namibia
- A Dangerous Goods Driving Certification giving access to a specialized transportation field
