We are looking to fill the following vacancy:
Refrigeration Engineer
Purpose of the role: Reports to 2nd Electrical Engineer. Maintain electrical equipment upon instruction of 2nd electrical engineer.
Minimum role requirements & experience
- STW95 F Class 5 Marine Engineering with specialization in Refrigeration CoC or equivalent qualification
- Eight (8) years sea-going experience on large industrial pumped circulation refrigeration plants
- Responsible for all vessel refrigeration compressors
- Ensure correct operations, maintenance, and condition of refrigeration equipment
- To assign distribute duties to subordinates.
- Supervise operations of all refrigeration machinery
- Ensure all cooling equipment is set on correct temperature on the vessel
- To keep record of all refrigeration machinery documentation
- Assist with shore supply for refrigeration equipment or spare parts when necessary
- Report to Chief Engineer all refrigeration equipment functioning and follow instructions accordingly
