SECTION ENGINEER: MAINTENANCE – City Windhoek

Job Description

Management of the maintenance functions of the entire City of Windhoek’s electrical network: 66kV, 11kV, 400v including the streetlights and Traffic Lights as well as the capital project regarding network rehabilitation and refurbishment.

Key Performance Areas

Supervise the work/job activities of staff members in Section.

Management of the engineering function to support electrical network and streetlights maintenance.

Implement Maintenance management systems for network assets.

Plan for maintenance activities and resources planning.

Network/equipment condition-bases monitoring, data audits and data collection for reliability and failure analysis, data interpretation and implementation of all applicable corrective preventative or predictive maintenance.

REQUIREMENTS:

B. Eng./BSc Degree (Electrical Engineering) or B-Tech Degree (Electrical Engineering) with a minimum period of six (6) years experience after obtaining B. Eng./BSc Degree or eight (8) years experience after obtaining B-Tech Degree with medium and high voltage systems with specific emphasis on maintenance. Registration with the Engineering Council of Namibia as a Professional Engineer or Incorporated Engineer and a valid code B/BE drivers’ license.
