ROSSOUW ROVER AND ASSOCIATES QUANTITY SURVEYORS INC., a leading Quantity Surveying firm in Namibia, with a diverse workload, has an exiting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with substantial experience in the building environment, particularly on commercial, residential and industrial projects, who can manage all QS functions independently and guides Candidate Quantity Surveyors on works and detailed routine. Key Responsibilities
- Preparing detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documentation
- Evaluating and negotiating contractor and subcontractor variations, claims and amendments
- Attend site meetings and manage progress payments and valuations
- Monitoring project costs, cash flows, and budget performance
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for proposed work
- Advise on procurement strategies and cost-saving options
- Track contractual obligations and assist with drafting and reviewing contract documents.
- Identify and assess potential financial, contractual, and project risks.
- Prepare final account statements upon project completion, reconcile all project costs with clear documentation of expenditures and variations.
Requirements
- BSc. (Hons) in Quantity Surveying or similar
- Minimum 5 + years of relevant industry experience
- Registered with NCAQS / SACQSP (proof of registration required)
- Proficient in DimX, WinQS and Microsoft Package
- Valid driver’s license and own transport are preferable
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Excellent understanding of construction processes and contract law
- Strong negotiation and communication abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently, under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Namibian / Permanent Residency Permit / Domicile (married to a Namibian)
