Key Responsibilities

- Delegate authority to the Site Agent/Engineer (SA) while maintaining overall accountability for project delivery.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant legislation, ESMP, NSMPs, and Employer’s requirements.
- Oversee project performance, including progress, quality, cost control, and risk management.
- Lead contract negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers when required.
- Ensure that qualified and experienced personnel are appointed to meet project requirements.
- Intervene and resolve issues that cannot be addressed by the Site Agent or Environmental Control Officer (ECO).
- Ensure compliance with FIDIC-based contract requirements, including administration and delivery obligations.
- Coordinate with all stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Requirements
- Registered Professional with a recognized institution (e.g., Engineering Council of Namibia).
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Project Management (advantageous).
- Minimum 10 years’ general experience in civil construction.
- At least 5 years’ experience in a Project/Contract Manager role.
- Proven experience on FIDIC-based projects (minimum 2 similar projects).
- Strong knowledge of contract administration and project delivery.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams, stakeholders, and project deliverables.
