Unik Construction Engineering Namibia (Pty) Ltd specializes in larger scale projects ranging from road and bridge construction, water and sewer services, residential, commercial, industrial buildings and infrastructure development. The role involves managing and administering construction contracts throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring full compliance with contractual terms and conditions.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and administer construction contracts throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring full compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
Delegate authority to the Site Agent/Engineer (SA) while maintaining overall accountability for project delivery.
Ensure adherence to all relevant legislation, ESMP, NSMPs, and Employer’s requirements.
Oversee project performance, including progress, quality, cost control, and risk management.
Lead contract negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers when required.
Ensure that qualified and experienced personnel are appointed to meet project requirements.
Intervene and resolve issues that cannot be addressed by the Site Agent or Environmental Control Officer (ECO).
Ensure compliance with FIDIC-based contract requirements, including administration and delivery obligations.
Coordinate with all stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

Requirements

Registered Professional with a recognized institution (e.g., Engineering Council of Namibia).
Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Project Management (advantageous).
Minimum 10 years’ general experience in civil construction.
At least 5 years’ experience in a Project/Contract Manager role.
Proven experience on FIDIC-based projects (minimum 2 similar projects).
Strong knowledge of contract administration and project delivery.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams, stakeholders, and project deliverables.
