Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring that patients are comfortable with their surroundings and that their pain is managed
• Working with members of the healthcare team to develop individualized treatment plans for each patient
• Reviewing medical records to identify potential problems with treatment plans or diagnoses
• Preparing reports detailing patients’ conditions and progress towards recovery goals
• Coordinating activities with other members of the medical staff.

Requirements

• Nurse Practitioner, Registered with the Health Professional Council of Namibia
• A Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, or Diploma in Nursing Science (DNS).
• Namibian Citizen or permanent Resident
• Fluency in English (good oral and written communication skills)
• Ability to perform well under pressure.
• Good interpersonal skills, be able to liaise with Hospital Multidisciplinary Team, Patients and Family.
• Demonstration of interest and focus on the achievements of the Mission and Vision of RCH.
• Cultural awareness, to give complete, patient-centered care.
• A Diploma in Critical Care with 2-3 years’ experience in ICU
• Demonstration of interest and focus on the achievements of the Mission and Vision of Roman Catholic Hospital/ Church
• Adherence to the Guiding Principles of the Roman Catholic Hospital/Church.
• A commitment to uphold the Christian ethos and values of the RC Hospital/Church
• Demonstration of qualities of a spiritual leader
