Key Responsibilities
- Manage stock ordering procedure and liaise with suppliers.
- Analyse daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages
- Provide timely and accurate reporting on stock holding, purchases vs sales, waste and damage reports
- Plan appealing product displays and ensure high-margin items are optimally placed to maximize sales.
- Oversee cleaning team, ensuring excellent housekeeping standards inside the store (floors, coolers, and restrooms).
- Ensure the entire facility complies with local health, safety, and security protocols at all times.
- Train and mentor cashiers, packers and kitchen staff, conducting performance evaluations to maintain high service standards.
- Attract customers by originating display ideas, following display suggestions or schedules, constructing or assembling prefabricated display materials, and creating merchandise displays in windows and showcases, and on the sales floor.
- Investigating customer complaints and service suggestions
- Investigate and resolve system and equipment issues
- Opening and/or closing of store
- Pro-actively plan, communicate and implement stock promotions according to seasonal changes
- Monitor for theft and report security concerns to management
Requirements
- Oversee the team of cashiers, ensuring smooth operation of Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and quick customer processing.
- Supervise and verify daily cash-ups and resolve any discrepancies.
- Track daily/weekly sales reports.
- Oversee daily kitchen activities to ensure high-quality food and compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Ensure all food items are prepared according to standard recipes and brand guidelines.
- Ensure the cooking and serving areas meet local health and safety standards.
- Oversee the team of packers/merchandisers, ensuring smooth inventory control
- Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Conduct weekly and monthly stock counts for grocery items, packaging, and raw kitchen ingredients.
- Ensure costings of all products are accurate
- Manage stock integrity to reduce shrinkage
- Supervise the receiving of vendor deliveries, ensuring correct quantities and accurately identify any short-received, damage received, expired received or stock not ordered; and to process returns.
