Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor outgoing orders according to approved cutting lists.
- Check completed orders for correct quantities, sizes, and items before dispatch.
- Finalise job cards and ensure all order information is accurately recorded.
- Prepare and issue delivery notes and verify them against goods loaded onto trucks.
- Conduct final checks to minimise loading errors, shortages, and incorrect deliveries.
- Perform daily checks on company trucks and report maintenance or mechanical issues.
- Monitor vehicle servicing and repair requirements.
- Maintain vehicle logbooks, including mileage, fuel, trips, and maintenance records.
- Ensure drivers complete required documentation and logbook entries.
- Coordinate with drivers, production, warehouse, and other departments to ensure orders are dispatched on schedule.
- Follow up on outstanding orders and resolve discrepancies between job cards, cutting lists, delivery notes, and physical goods.
- Conduct daily checks on panels laminated the previous day to ensure they are ready for timely loading.
- Maintain accurate logistics and transport records.
- Assist the Factory Manager with spreadsheets and related administrative duties.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Should be able to start as soon as possible.
- Should be well spoken in English and Afrikaans
- Previous experience in logistics, dispatch, transport, warehousing, or manufacturing (Added advantage)
- Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Ability to accurately check quantities, measurements, and documentation.
- Good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with drivers, production, warehouse, and management.
- A valid driver’s licence will be an advantage.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours when required.
