You must hold an LLB degree from a recognised university and be admitted as an advocate or attorney by the Law Society of Namibia. Additional qualifications such as a postgraduate diploma in human rights, public interest law, or a related field are advantageous. Fluency in English and often Afrikaans or indigenous languages strengthens your application.

Providing legal advice and representation to indigent clients, drafting pleadings and court documents, and conducting research on Namibian statutes and case law are core tasks. You will also attend court hearings, negotiate settlements, and participate in community outreach or legal education initiatives. Maintaining accurate case files and adhering to the Centre’s case management protocols is routine.
