Working hours usually follow standard business hours, though consultants may need flexibility during peak travel seasons. Teamwork and attention to detail are strongly emphasised.

An Intermediate Travel Consultant can progress to Senior Travel Consultant, Team Leader, Branch Manager, or specialise in corporate travel, groups, or luxury safari itineraries. Gaining experience with international destinations and advanced reservation systems accelerates advancement. Some consultants also move into tour operations or airline roles.
