HOUSING AND PROPERTIES OFFICER: HUMAN SETTLEMENTS (PATTERSON BAND C3)

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The primary purpose of this position is to manage the immovable properties of the Municipality of Otjiwarongo within the framework of budgets, policies and procedures.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• To ensure that all en/en are recorded in the system
• To ensure that applications of erven are dealt with, tracked and update in the system
• To ensure that all outstanding accounts are settled before the properties are transferred
• To keep the valuation, roll up to date, and collate with various stakeholder on the roll.
• To ensure the success of housing projects, i.e. Shack Dwellers Federation, Build-Together, PPP’s and Private Housing Developments programme.
• To ensure efficiently and effectively on land and housing administration programs.
• To gather all information pertaining to land and housing, through reports for effective decision making.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENT:

• Three-year National Diploma in Land Management or Land Administration
• Four years’ experience as a Property Officer in a similar environment and specifically in dealing with properties management
• Computer literacy and good communications skills
• Code B Driver’s License
