Key Responsibilities
- Capture the receipts of employer’s payment as reflected in the bank statement daily.
- Follow up on all outstanding invoices with respective employers
- Carry out regular inspection visits to all participating employers to ascertain whether pension contributions received correspond with the Employers total pensionable remuneration.
- Compile the management reports monthly and quarterly
- Maintain and update a register of total number of members that contributed to the Fund monthly
- Receive the contribution refund instruction from the employers
- Import the disability payment file from GIPF’S enterprise software solutions (ESS) applications
- Recover benefit overpayments and any other payment made to wrong beneficiaries.
- Allocate receipts in respondent to contribution received to relevant employer invoices.
- Process adjustments to receipt and invoices and submit to the accountant contributions for approval
- Provide support to both internal and external auditors as and when required.
Requirements
- Diploma in Accounting NQF Level 6 Bachelor’s in accounting as an added advantage.
- More than 1 year experience in debt management and collections
- The incumbent should have the following knowledge, skills and Attributes: Financial accounting, payroll administration, systems procedures, banking process, reconciliation, MS office, pastel, AccPac, advanced MS Excel, tax, debtors’ management, report writing, logical reasoning, accounting, accountability, confidentiality, consistency, diligent, integrity, meet deadlines, mathematical reasoning and detail consciousness.
