A job vacancy has arisen within the Letshego Bank Namibia for the above-mentioned position, the details of the role are outlined below:
Purpose of the Job:
To be responsible for delivering the company’s financial controls and operations by managing risk, service, and costs.
Critical Deliverables /Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
1. Implement and ensure adherence to finance operations policies, procedures, control, and standards.
2 . Provide advice on financial control, reconciliations, and accounts payables to meet business goals and improve business performance.
3 . Optimize operational processes to make a competitive advantage to the business needs. 4. Implement robust, effective gatekeeping procedures and controls within the department to minimize operational risk and losses.
4 .ldentify critical risks within the business and formulate appropriate mitigating controls.
6 . Monitor and manage tolerance levels for critical risks and appropriate CMC escalation.
7 . Delivers country monthly management accounts, ensuring month-end close to strict deadlines.
8 . Adherence to service-level commitments.
9 . Ensure Tax Compliance
10 .CompilingAnnual Financial Statements
Knowledge and Skills Required 
1 . Grade 12, (25 points and above).
2. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar degree required
3 . Minimum of 7 years experience in banks or financial institutions, preferably with experience specializing in financial management
4 . CA or similar professional qualification essential
5 . Experience and knowledge in finance operations
6 . Experience with financial control systems
7 . Sound knowledge of VAT and Income Tax
8 . Strategic thinking and problem-solving
9 . Attention to accuracy and details
10 . Ability to work to tight deadlines
11 . Ability to convert analytical findings into business recommendations
12 . Ability to identify risks and find solutions
7. An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
