DEPUTY PROJECT MANAGER (ROAD & HIGHWAY INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS) – Zhon Mei Engineering Group (Pty) Ltd

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in the overall management and delivery of road and highway construction projects.
• Coordinate daily project activities and monitor construction progress.
• Support project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Support procurement and materials management activities.
• Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of project activities.
• Assist in resolving technical, operational, and contractual issues.
• Oversee site operations in the absence of the Project Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Highway Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional registration with a recognized engineering body is an advantage.
• Postgraduate qualification in Project Management is an added advantage.
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in road and highway infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in project coordination and construction supervision.
• Knowledge of road construction techniques, pavement works, bridges, drainage systems, and earthworks.
• Experience with contract administration and project reporting.
• Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and infrastructure project management practices.
