Job purpose
Pupkewitz Megatech is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Credit Supervisor to join our Finance team in Windhoek. This role is responsible for overseeing credit risk management, debtor portfolio performance, credit control operations, and leading a team of Credit Controllers. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring effective credit management practices, optimizing working capital, and supporting strong customer relationships while minimizing financial risk.

Key Responsibilities

Manage credit risk across the debtor portfolio and ensure compliance with credit policies.
Review and approve credit applications and credit limit increases within delegated authority.
Monitor debtor ageing, collections, bad debt provisions and working capital performance.
Ensure compliance with credit insurance requirements and timelines.
Oversee month – end debtor procedures, reconciliations and reporting.
Support key account management and provide guidance on complex credit matters.
Provide functional oversight and support to Branch Administrators on credit control activities across Namibia and South Africa.
Identify training needs, coach team members and support succession planning initiatives.
Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and other departments to resolve customer account issues.
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with administrative, audit, and credit control requirements.
Assist with management reporting as required.
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships while ensuring effective collection of outstanding debts.
Supervise and support Credit Controllers and Senior Credit Controllers.

Requirements

Completed NSSCO/NSSCAS or Grade 12.
Diploma/ bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Admin or a related.
5-7 years’ experience in credit control or risk management.
2 years’ experience in Supervisory or team leadership role.
Proven experience in debtor management, collections, credit insurance and credit risk management.
Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel and Kerridge/K8.
Valid Code B driver’s licence.
