PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To assist the IT/networking team with the installation, maintenance, testing, labelling, and basic troubleshooting of network cabling and related IT infrastructure across company sites, ensuring that connectivity installations are safe, neat, functional, and completed according to company standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Working under supervision of the Cabling Technician
- Installing, maintaining and repairing cable infrastructure
- Performing maintenance on existing cabling systems
- Testing newly installed or relocated cables according to company specifications
- Installing of Access Points, Access Control Devices, Cameras and other network devices
- Supporting the IT team and users to remain productive and functional with regards to connectivity
- Installing cables, routers and IT devices
- Troubleshooting issues with the cable network
- Repairing Network
- Ensuring all cables are neatly tied and bundled according to safety regulations
- Completing paperwork such as timesheets, checklists.
- Perform any reasonable ad hoc tasks as requested by management/superiors.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (NQF 4)
- Valid Namibian driver’s License.
- Proficient in English (written & spoken)
- Namibian citizen.
- Previous experience in network cabling, IT installations, CCTV, access control, or basic networking support.
- Basic understanding of network points, patch panels, switches, access points, cameras, and access control devices.
- Basic computer literacy.
- The role may require travel between company sites, depots, mills, offices, and other operational locations.
- Must be able to perform physical work, including lifting, climbing ladders, working in ceiling spaces, and working in confined or elevated areas where safe and authorised to do so.
