We are looking for a results-driven and customer-focused Bakery Manager for MAERUA SUPERSPAR. who will support the store with day-to-day operations and the profitability of the Bakery department ensuring excellent product quality and high customer satisfaction. This role oversees the effective planning controlling and monitoring of stock and production performance. This position requires strong staff management and ensuring that Health and Safety standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage departmental targets and profitability.
- Manage all stock functions control ordering, maintaining stock levels/range, ensure rotation and more
- Manage supplier relationships and enhance price negotiations
- Ensure regular promotions and availability of stock
- Ensure consistent quality in freshness and presentation of products
- Maintain and ensure strict hygiene and housekeeping standards
- Maintain and ensure strict Health & Safety and Food Safety procedures
- Manage staff functions like recruitment training, shifts and ensuring discipline.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction throughout
- Store opening and closing duties
Requirements
- Grade 12 (NQF level 4)
- Tertiary qualifications in Retail. alternatively minimum of 4 years experience in Retail Management.
- Bakery Background of advantage.
- Experience with SIGMA system of advantage
- Computer literate and experience with POS systems / strong organizational skills required
- Staff management experience and excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work under pressure. prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
- Willingness to work additional hours if required
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well in a team
- Driver’s license required
