Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance and support to municipalities on asset management
- Analyse and review municipal asset management plans and reports
- Assist in the implementation of policies, frameworks, and procedures for asset management
- Facilitate training and awareness programmes on asset management in municipalities
- Advise on the implementation of asset management systems and plans
- Coordinate stakeholder engagements and workshops relating to asset management
- Compile reports, memoranda and presentations on municipal asset management
- Conduct research on best practices
- Support in monitoring and reporting on municipal asset management compliance
Requirements
- A Diploma or Degree (NQF Level 6/7) in Accounting, Asset Management, Finance, or Public Administration or similar
- 3 years’ experience in asset management within the local government sector
- Understanding of local government regulatory environment, MFMA and related regulations pertaining to asset management
- Good communication, coordination and facilitation skills
- Computer literacy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
