Key Responsibilities

Confirm and execute payment invoices after ensuring their correctness and aligning them with the correct entities
Keep meticulous creditor records, logging vendor debts and keeping tabs on due dates and related particulars
Generate and refresh weekly cash flow forecasts by projecting upcoming weekly cash revenues and expenditures
Uphold precise and current fiscal records by documenting financial activities like sales, outlays, assets and debts
Initiate and input journal entries into the accounting software
Prepare monthly supplier reconciliation against supplier statements
Derive and complete VAT returns by calculating VAT due on buying and selling activities and generating requisite tax paperwork
Ensure all supplier invoices are processed to ensure accurate VAT
Facilitate the assembly of monthly financial statements through data collation for profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow outlines
Chronicle and oversee inter-affiliate transactions, ensuring the transactions are duly logged and reconciled
Accurately execute banking operations including managing deposits, withdrawals, and money transfers
Conduct routine and accurate reconciliation of bank statements by cross-verification with internal financial ledgers
Focus on and execute improvements that align with the company’s strategic financial goals
Ensure full compliance with regulations governing financial reporting and accounting, staying up to date with any changes

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an accounting role
Knowledge of accounting software (Pastel)
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
