ASSET MANAGER
Job Responsibilities:
• Responsible for implementing and maintaining the investment strategy and daily management, monitoring and development of the total investment portfolio and investing activities;
• Research and propose goals and objectives of appropriate investments whilst keeping up to date on trends in the industry;
• Responsible for growing the assets under management, clients and maintaining relationships;
• Manage the preparation and approval process of operational budgets;
• Monthly, quarterly and annual review and reporting of the portfolio;
• Monthly review of operational budgets and financial statements;
• Financial analysis, market studies and industry standard reporting (i.e. variance reporting, discounted cash flows, IRRs, etc.) and providing guidance and key insights;
• Ensure adherence to financial and regulatory compliance;
• Analyze market data and monitor client investment goals and objectives;
• Compile and provide required information and investment material to potential clients and investors, which outlines investment objectives, risks, performance and fees and must also include relevant tax information and statistics;
• Marketing and ensuring that clients are aware of the financial products as well as seek opportunities to procure new clients;
• Manage due diligence assignments and underwriting of potential acquisitions;
• To manage and assist with all aspects of research into and acquisition of investments as well as the administrative, financial, capital and operational responsibilities related thereto;
• Provide investment advice and maintain records and documentation related to all investments and transactions; and
• Maintain existing as well as develop new contacts and liaisons.

• The successful candidate must have confidence, determination, networking skills and strong time management skills, to show that he/she has the necessary imagination, skills and track record for this demanding role;
• Diplomacy, tact, positive, professional attitude are required;
• Ability to work effectively under pressure;
• Analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Skilled at drawing up a 50c meal budget;
• Presentable, articulate and confident communication and presentation skills;
• Keen interest in and understanding of financial markets;
• Ability to prioritize and manage time;

Qualifications & Experience:
• Applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree in either Finance, Commerce, Economics Accounting or equivalent;
• Industry related licences, registration and accreditations (CCIM etc.) required;
• Minimum 10 years relevant financial, investment and commercial experience, of which 5 years should be on a senior managerial level in the relevant industry;
• A minimum requirement to be considered as a possible shortlisted candidate for the vacant position will be that the applicant must successfully pass the “Trustco Group Integrated Annual Reports Test” which will consist of multiple-choice questions from the annual report of the group.
