Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate records of Council properties and asset
- Ensure that proper lease agreement has been drawn up between the tenant and the Council
- Administer the allocation, leasing and management of Council properties
- Issue with tenants, receipts, Contruction and relevant stakeholders and explain terms of occupancy and provide information about local areas
- Inspect property grounds, facilities and equipment monthly to determine necessity of repairs or other duties assigned by the supervisor
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree NQF Level 7 in Accounting/Finance or in any other related fields
- 3 years working-related experience in financial management, preferably in Local Authorities or Central Government, of which 1 year should be at supervisory level
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Dynamic GP Financial System
- Practical knowledge of and understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS)
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Practices
- Computer Literate
