Key Duties and Responsibility
Strategy Development
• Develop and execute a comprehensive resource mobilization strategy aligned with the University’s mission and goals.
Fund Raising and Donor Relations
• Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, including foundations, and government agencies,
• Oversee grant writing, proposal development, and donor stewardship efforts.
• Bid for Consultancies and Contract Research projects from Government, State owned Enterprises, UN Agencies and the Private Sector.
Alumni Engagement
• Work closely with the Alumni Office in engaging alumni in fundraising.
Government and Institutional Grants
• Research, identify and apply for grants from government agencies, research councils and other relevant institutions.
Budget Oversight
• Work closely with the Finance Department to create and manage budgets related to resource Mobilisation activities.
Reporting and Compliance
• Prepare reports related to Resource Mobilisation activities.
• Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to fundraising and resource Mobilisation.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum Qualification: A Master degree in Finance, Business, Public Relations, Project Management, or other relevant fields
• Minimum experience: Five (5) years’ experience in resource mobilisations and fundraising, especially in not-for-profit organisations.
• Skills/Competence: Excellent interpersonal and relationship building abilities as well as strong written and verbal communication skills.

REMUNERATION PACKAGE
The University offers a competitive remuneration package commensurate with the incumbent’s qualifications including a Pension Scheme and Medical Aid.
