Salary scale : N$ 333,281.87 – 346,746.91 per annum
Transport Allowance : N$ 7,704 per annum
Primary purpose of the Position:
⦁ To plan. lead, direct and implement all objectives of the fire department by training staff during fire-fighting and rescue activities. The role also implements and monitors the care and maintenance of the fire station and all equipment, submits requests for new acquisitions and works with fire department budgets and ensures that policies, procedures and legislation are complied with.

Minimum Requirements:
⦁ Bachelor Degree in Disaster Risk Management or relevant field.
⦁ Seven (07) year’s appropriate experience of which at least three (03) should have been in a supervisory capacity.

⦁ Analytical and problem-solving skills
⦁ Stress management skills.
⦁ Effective public relations and public speaking skills
⦁ Computer skills
⦁ Knowledge of Local Authorities Fire Brigade Services Act

⦁ Knowledge in public fire and life safety education
⦁ Basic financial management practices and budget
⦁ Code CE driving license plus PDP

Competitive salary, annual leave, very attractive medical aid of which Council contributes 85% and member 15%. pension fund of which which Council contribute 21.7%, transport allowance, annual bonus/13th cheque, housing allowance of 20% of an annual salary, and in case of a bond. Council offer housing subsidy of 40% of an annual salary.
