PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Responsible for providing essential support to the Coordinator: Services and Maintenance in ensuring the smooth running of daily operations and maintenance activities related to Facilities, Property, and Services within Namib Poultry. The primary goal is to contribute to the overall efficiency and hygiene of the organization’s premises while adhering to company policies, health and safety standards, and best practices.
KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• General Assistance: Assist with various general functions related to Facilities, Property, and
Services to maintain the overall functionality of the organization.
• Waste Removal: Manage waste removal processes to ensure a clean and safe working
environment.
• Building Maintenance: Contribute to the overall operation, cleaning, maintenance, and inspection of buildings, facilities, and ablution blocks of the organization.
• Fumigation Support: Assist with the fumigation process, ensuring that pest control measures are implemented effectively.
• Maintenance and Repairs: Provide support for building, welding, plumbing, painting, gardening, and electrical tasks as needed to address maintenance and repair needs.
• Ensure overall hygiene of the premises: Hygiene Maintenance – Maintain high levels of hygiene throughout the premises, including restrooms and common areas.
• Compliance: Strictly adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring that all activities are conducted within established guidelines.
• Safety: Follow safety standards, practices, and procedures to promote a safe working environment
for all employees and visitors.
• Ad Hoc Tasks: Perform additional ad hoc tasks as required by Management to support the overall functioning of the organization.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Grade 10 (NQF2)
• Basic knowledge of building, welding, plumbing, painting, gardening and electrical.
• Relevant Maintenance Qualifications will be advantageous.
• Previous experience in a similar role or familiarity with maintenance and facility operations will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of fumigation processes will be advantageous.
• Namibian Citizen.
• A valid driver’s license will be advantageous.
• Proficient in English, being bilingual will be advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects when required.
