Minimum requirements: A B Degree at NQF Level 7 or equivalent qualification, preferably in Labour Law, Labour Relations Management and or Human Resources Management plus 9 years experiences.
Additional Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of Labour Act (Act 11 of 2007) and its application thereof:
- Experience in workplace inspections:
- Demonstrate strong Negotiation, Problem Solving. Leadership and Management Skills:
- Highly self-motivated, organized, self-driven, focused and ability to work independently with other professional;
- Proven ability to independently do research and propose solutions on strategic issues:
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills (both orally and written format):
- Be in possession of a valid driver’s licence.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the Division of Labour Inspectorate overall operation in terms of Planning, Organizing, Controlling, Supervising and Managing.
- Guide and advice trade unions, employer’s organizations, individual employers and employees on labour legislation matter.
- Ensure effective inspection and investigation of workplaces for welfare of employees.
- Coordinate the work of Regional Labour Inspectorate in terms of monthly, quarterly and annual reports of activities undertaken.
- Advice and consult with the Director on policy a d issues related and substantive labour relations.
- Research and keep abreast with professional literature legislation and other relevant sources for effective labour administration.
- Perform any other official duties assigned by the Supervisor, and
- Report to the Director.
