Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the scheduling, routing and dispatching of vehicles.
- Monitor daily transport operations to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Supervise and support operational staff to ensure required standards are maintained.
- Plan cost-effective routes and coordinate load scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with transport regulations, company policies and safety procedures.
- Investigate and report operational incidents where required.
- Liaise with drivers, internal departments and external transport partners.
- Analyze operational performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Meet operational deadlines and company performance expectations.
Requirements
- Minimum Grade 12 (or equivalent).
- At least 5 years’ experience as a Logistics Controller or in a similar transport role
- Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- High attention to detail
- Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office and logistics management systems).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport
