Our company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Controller to join our operations team in Walvis Bay. Key Responsibilities

Coordinate the scheduling, routing and dispatching of vehicles.
Monitor daily transport operations to ensure efficient service delivery.
Supervise and support operational staff to ensure required standards are maintained.
Plan cost-effective routes and coordinate load scheduling.
Ensure compliance with transport regulations, company policies and safety procedures.
Investigate and report operational incidents where required.
Liaise with drivers, internal departments and external transport partners.
Analyze operational performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Meet operational deadlines and company performance expectations.

Requirements

Minimum Grade 12 (or equivalent).
At least 5 years’ experience as a Logistics Controller or in a similar transport role
Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations
Excellent organisational and planning skills
High attention to detail
Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office and logistics management systems).
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and under pressure
Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport
Medically fit
Sober habits
Experience coordinating transport operations on routes into Zambia, Angola & Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC)
