This position is responsible for maintaining accurate and complete records in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Intra Health-Namibia Office Accounting and Financial Policies and Procedures. S/He will be responsible for processing IntraHealth Namibia’s financial and payroll related activities and ensure compliance with policies and procedures. She/he also verifies financial documents for proper approval, documentation and record keeping.

Responsibilities

Financial Accounting

Capture invoices in accounting system (Filemarker, Quicksbook and ORACLE)
Responsible for petty cash review of expenditures for the regional sites.
Process reimbursement of staff travel & work advance on time.
Timely processing and payment of suppliers’ invoices, bills, taxes, eligible staff benefits and other liabilities through electronic banking.
Responsible for petty cash review of expenditures for the regional sites.

Fleet Management

Review of monthly vehicles status report and review of fuel consumption.
Review the vehicle tracking and report any deviations.

Warehouse Management

Manage the Head Office warehouse.
Receive and issue store.
Maintain Bin Card

Statutory and other Reporting

Preparing and submission of the VAT refund report Namibia Revenue Agency (NAMRA)
Responsible for completing and timely submission of Withholding Tax

Job requirements

Minimum Educational Requirements

Diploma in accounting or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Minimum Expereince Required

2 years of job-related experience.

Knowledge and Skills

Proficient skills in keyboarding, data entry, word processing, and file maintenance
Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets and databases and do word processing
Ability to prioritize workflow to address the multiple needs of the supervisor or the department
Ability to multi-task numerous complex administrative activities

Preferred Experience and Educational requirements (Added Advantage)
