BOARD OF DIRECTORS VACANCIES – LOTTERRIES BOARD

1. The Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism hereby invites Namibians who are qualified, competent and with appropriate skills and qualifications to apply as potential candidates to serve as Board of Directors of the Lotteries Board of Namibia.
2. The recruitment of the Board members is done in line with section 6 (1) of the Lotteries Act No. 13 of 2017. The term of office will be three (3) years from the date of appointment and it is eligible for possible reappointment.

Qualifications and Expertise required:

• • Minimum qualification requirements:

Master or Degree with admission in the following professional fields;

• Law- an LLB and admission in the High Court with commercial and contract law experience
• Finance – with knowledge and experience in finance or banking sector
• Psychology /Health – with knowledge and experience in health or social services
• Law Enforcement – with knowledge and experience in safety and security matters
• Business /Commerce /Economics – with knowledge and experience in commercial and industrial matters
• Arts /Social – with knowledge and experience in arts, culture and heritage
  • Minimum experience:
• Three years’ experience at senior or executive management level
• Experience as a board member will be an added advantage.

4. Persons currently serving on two (2) or more Boards of any Public Enterprises will not be considered.
