Meatco has the following vacancy: Executive: Human Capital
Main Purpose of the Job:
Develops, and deliver people management strategies which support Meatco’s overall strategic aims and objectives. Contribute at both strategic and operational level to identify HR prionties and recommend to Executive Management Committee, HR Committee and Meatco Board.
The incumbent is responsible for inter alia the following Key Performance Areas/Outputs:
1 Strategic People Management: Develop, implement Annual HR Plan to support to overall strategic aims and objectives of the Board Identify, design, and implement HR Projects in line with Meatco’s Vision. Mission and Objectives.
- Human Resources Policies & Procedures: Identifies areas within HR that require pokey and procedures governance. Liaise with CEO and Executive Management to shape policies and approval from Board.
- Organizational Development & Performance Management: Plan, develop, implement, and administer performance management programme, procedures and guidelines to help staff with the strategic goals of Meatco.
- Training & Staff Planning Services: Develop the training and development needs assessment processes and practices and guide managers and staff in the practice to drive training and development needs. Set up formats and process for individuals development plans and the implementation / progression of these initiatives.
5 Employment & Staff Planning Services: Develop the employment process both at an administrative and at a professional effectiveness level that will suit Meatco requirements. Manage and continuously improve the recruitment & selection process and initiatives at all levels. HR planning initiatives with employment & AA pans
6 Payroll, Remuneration System & Services: Design and implement the remuneration & reward system within the Corporation and as appropriate to Meatco’s Rewards Strategy. Perform analysis and develop compensation programme guidelines and policies. Forecast budget for annual salary increases
- Benefits Funds & Service Management Services: Determine employer requirements and shapes with fund administrators to meet Meatco’s criteria at cost I benefit and service efficiency level. Serve as member and HR representative on such funds and ensure that issues are resolved speedily and in the context of the legal and policy framework.
- Employee Wellness Welfare: In consultation with Executive’s, define the important areas of work health, conditions and welfare factors that are appropriate to Meatco and sources opinions and inputs from all staff. Guide managers and create general awareness of these factors as contributory to motivation and productivity. Ensure that Meatco adapt and maintain Employee wellness.
- Employee Relations: Advice managers on Meatco’s HR related PoKies and Procedures and ensure the correct implementation Ensure that EBH policies and procedures are compliant with the Union Cultivating a good working relationship with the Union. Negotiate with Union on all related issues. Attend labour issues and liaise with Legal and Compliance Department.
- Administration: Develop internal management practice as to practice as to reporting, meetings, mutually coordinated dairy and time management, problem solving approaches, individual meetings. Sets work delivery targets with own staff, with regular reviews and coaching towards each cement of targets.
REQUIREMENTS:
- MBA or Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations
- 10 years of relevant experience, including three years in Server Managerial Role
- Experience in FMCG or manufacturing industry
- Strong organ national management skills
- Generalist experience in the overall HR discipline; Strategic Thinking; Problem Solving/Analysis; Negotiating skills; Customer/Client Focus; Communication Proficiency; and Time Management Flexibility and the ability to thrive m a fast-paced environment
- Intermediate to advanced applications software expertise (Excel and HR Systems);
- Good Understanding of HR legislation and HR best practices
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player; and
- 9. Namibian Citizen.
