VACANCY
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Senior Credit Controller will report directly to the Finance Manager and mainly be responsible for the management of the debtors administration process with a strong focus on debt collection, problem solving and management of the Property Administrators.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Continuous monitoring of the overall effectiveness of the credit control processes within Oryx Properties and identifying of weaknesses and deficiencies.
Adherence by the Property and Lease Administrators to the Revenue and Debtors policies of
Oryx Properties.
Defining new procedures and changes to procedures and enforcing these via the various parties involved in credit management.
Analysing the debt collection performance on a continuous basis at both stategic and operational levels and identifying the specific reasons for debt collection deficiencies.
Developing and implementing strategies to improve debt collection performance.
Assessing debtor-specific circumstances and requests, engaging with debtors regarding these requests, and developing solutions and/or proposals for the approval of the relevant decision makers within Oryx Properties.
Ensuring that all the required documentation is attached to new lease applications and that the information is correctly captured by the leasing team.
Prepare periodic performance reports on the debtors function for the Management Committee and those charged with governance.
Track debt collection performance on a continuous basis and ensure that all stakeholders are kept up to date as to progress.
Provide inputs to the property team on forecasts and budgets as it pertains to debt collection.
Any other related tasks that may be required from time to time.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree in accounting or equivalent.
A professional qualification will be an advantage.
Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
Should be able to manage a team and work independently.
Should be able to problem solve effectively and should be able to develop innovative solutions.
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Namibian citizen
