EXECUTIVE RECRUITMENT
Post: CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, Patterson F2
Primary purpose of the position:
To plan, lead, coordinate, control and manage all executive affairs of the Town Council on business principle, attracting current and potential investor while ensuring full compliance with all legislative, socio – political and environmental requirements
Duration: Five (5) years contract (renewable contract based on good performance)
Key Performance Areas:
- Policy Implementation
- Supervision and Co-ordination of all departments
- Implementation of Council Strategic Objectives
- Human Resources Development and Maintenance of Discipline
- Corporate Communication and Customer care
- Accounting Officer in terms of the Local Authorities Act, 1992 (Act 23 of 1992) as amended
- Manage the Council’s operations on business principles in line with all Government Statutes.
- Oversee the operations of the Town Council and strategically manage the activities of all staff members
- Plan, direct and co-ordinate the planning and preparation of annual and long term Capital and Operational Budget.
- Plan, direct and coordinate Human Resources Management and Development.
Minimum Requirements and Competencies:
- A B-Degree preferably in Business/ Public Administration or equivalent qualifications.
- A Master’s Degree in a related field will be an added advantage
- Nine (9) years working experience in managing medium to large scale public/private organization of which five (5) years should have been in a senior managerial level with experience in managing a multi-disciplinary team
- Working experience in a Local Authority/govemment will be an added advantage.
- Be a Namibian Citizen
- All foreign qualifications must be accompanied by an evaluation certificate from NQA
- Code B Driving license
- No criminal records
- Superior interpersonal skills to enable internal teamwork and external relationship building with a diverse constituency, including member companies, government officials, media, interest groups and general public
- Experience in monitoring and evaluation of projects
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with experience on drafting of presentations
- Demonstrated success in uniting the interests of diverse constituencies to achieve desired public policy outcomes
- Ability to represent the Town Council at regional and international levels
- Personal traits required: Team building, conflict resolution, adaptability. Integrity, delegation, directive, tolerance, achievement oriented and supportive.
