Sales and Marketing Manager – Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board
Reporting to the Managing Director
Primary Purpose
The Sales and Marketing Manager is responsible for the accomplishment of business development activities by researching marketing opportunities and developing marketing plans; implementing sales plans; people management and the administration of the Division. The person ensures excellent service experience to new and existing customers.
Key Performance Areas
Responsibilities and Duties
- Ensure efficient client management and provision of relevant company and industry information.
- Ensure that clients conform to company requirements, i.e., credit worthiness, business practices and adherence to payments timelines.
- Implement effective and efficient stock management processes and systems management
- Manage product sales and stock availability and negotiate local sales subject to stock availability.
- Manage local, export and foreign market clients and ensure good client experience.
- Ensure that all documentation is in place prior to sales being concluded.
- Develop marketing and sales strategies and implement marketing and sales plans
- Analyze market trends, pricing strategies and information to improve marketing and sales performance
- Develop the sales and marketing department budget and provide monthly and quarterly reports.
- Monitor service delivery commitments made to customers and ensure that these are met.
- Maintain sound customer relationships with customers and provide after care support.
- Analyse and review service metrics to ensure customer experience consistency.
Education and Experience Required
Qualification and Experience Requirements
The Sales and Marketing Manager is required to hold a Bachelors degree in Marketing or Business studies or equivalent qualifications. 7 – 10 years’ experience in a Sales and Marketing environment of which 3 years should be at a managerial level. Demonstrable experience in developing marketing and sales strategies. Fishing industry experience would be an advantage
