MANAGER: FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION
General Description of the position:
To develop, maintain and implement an accurate, efficient, timely and effective overall financial, administrative and risk management function to represent and position the business to relevant financial partners, investors, auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders. To provide overall financial accounting services to the company, ensuring that all financial activities adhere to general accepted accounting practice, internal control standards and relevant regulations, in order to ensure that the company’s financial systems and procedures are well managed and maintained at all times.
Key performance areas:
- Establish budgets acceptable to the board and monitoring the company’s financial position.
- Accountable for monthly and annual financial reporting, financial statements, audits and management reports.
- Accountable for the company’s working capital and monthly cash flow.
- Responsible for strategic guiding of financial policies and procedures.
- Ensure sound governance and regulatory compliance.
- Coordination of general administrative duties of the company and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the Financial Operations of CMCIOTESA Joint Venture
- Assist the Project Manager in formulating and implementing investment strategies.
Knowledge and skills required and personal attributes:
Diagnostic and analytical skills.
sound knowledge of the relevant statutory legislation and corporate governance requirements.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Leadership and negotiation skills.
Proven ability to provide financial strategic inputs and drive initiatives successfully.
Ability to work under pressure.
Presentation skills.
Computer literate.
Minimum requirements:
A 13-comm (lions) degree or equivalent with completed articles. A chartered Accountant qualification would serve as an added
advantage
At least 5 (Five) years appropriate working experience of which Three (3) years must be at a strategic management level.
Experience in the Road/construction industry would serve as an advantage
