Savanna Beef Operations (Pty) Ltd was established in 2023 by the Beef Value Chain Forum of Namibia and is in the process of setting up an export abattoir and a red meat processing facility between Okahandja and Windhoek. PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

All activities related to the reception, assessment, sorting, and handling of cattle. Verifying documentation, moving cattle through the RFID station, and creating slaughter batches in the Meat Matrix system. The position requires strict adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, with a strong focus on ensuring a safe working environment for both animal and personnel.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Start-Up Preparations Prior to Receiving Cattle.
• Receiving and Offloading of Cattle.
• Ensuring Good Hygiene Practices at all Times.
• Strict following of all Safety Procedures / Requirements.
• Regular Assistance of Side Rails Maintenance.
• Continuous Cleaning of Off-Loading Ramp Area.
• Ad-Hoc Task as and when Required by Management.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS’

• Grade 10. (NQF 2)
• Previous Experience working with Animals will be advantageous.
• Namibian Citizen.
• Proficient in English, being bilingual will be advantageous.
• Must be able and willing to work shifts, weekends, overtime and public holidays.
