The Business and Intellectual Property Authority (BIPA) is a regulator established by virtue of BIPA Act No. 8 of 2016 to facilitate and promote the efficient and effective registrations of business and intellectual property in Namibia. BIPA is an equal opportunity employer and invites competent & suitably qualified candidates to apply for the following position:
Primary Purpose
To communicate risk policies and processes for BIPA. To provide hands-on development of risk models involving market, financial, reputational and operational risk and assure controls are operating effectively and provide research and analytical support. Overall to provide an independent, effective risk management and investigation services to the BIPA.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
•Bachelor’s degree in risk management, Business studies or Management, Finance or Economics, Science, Statistics, Engineering or Project management at NQA level 7.
•Certification in risk management i.e. CRM, CGRCM and CFA
•At least six (6) years of experience of which three (3) should have been in a risk management environment
•A driver’s license is essential
Key Responsibilities
•To develop overall strategies and policies on fraud prevention and risk management
•Implement an overall risk management process for the organisation
•Implement governance framework for risk management and fraud prevention
•Evaluation of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) process
•Planning and performing risk engagements and monitor risk reports on status of corrective actions
•Provide investigative services
•Conduct forensic investigations
•Provide investigations report to various stakeholders via the head of department
•Risk reporting and BCP
